Not to overdramatize, but we teach children in our schools to hate. We teach them in general to hate the succesful suggesting that they have an unfair adavantage over the poor. This hate is evident in conversations with the average liberal democrat. My point is that hate is everywhere.

I am wary of this argument. What worries me is that this is the same arugment applied to say gun owners. Some would say that since we have people who own guns that will use them to kill people absent self-defense we should hold all gun owners responsible. The democrats are saying we should not hold all Muslims responsible for terrorists so we should remember their principle when they attack things we hold dear.

Religious believers (who take faith as a license to do wrong thinking G-d approves of it) can do evil in the name of G-d. Look at the Nazi death camp guards and staff who went to church on Sunday after slaughtering hundreds of thousands in the course of a week. The fact you're pious means nothing unless its accompanied by RIGHT CONDUCT. While faith is important to being a G-d fearing person its not enough; one must show G-d one truly fears Him by abstaining from doing evil and by doing good works. Without good works faith is dead and of no account. Where were the good works the 19 terrorists performed in committing their horrific act of mass murder? I do not see G-d rewarding those who profane His Name by doing evil thinking their shedding the blood of the innocent would gain His favor. Yes, I agree. But we so quickly dismiss the same claims by these fanatics? They feel they are stopping us from harming them. Christians have been known to committ their share of crimes against the innocent in the name of religion, sometimes even against other Christians. Since the Enlightenment these incidents have become far fewer in number and scope, but it is still part of our history.

Most Christians may not, but do some? Asserting one is "Christian" does not prove that all Christians believe what you do. But does it prove you are a Christian? My point is that if I say I am a capitalist, and then I say I am for government ownership of all capital am I a capitalist? I would say no, they are incompatible beliefs. So then it would seem to me that no one can ever speak for capitalists as many would lie and misproclaim "caplitalist" beliefs. One can only speak for themselves. So if you wish to speak for Christians I would say you should limit yourself to speaking for yourself (and I do not wish to seem antagonistic in this asssertion).

What's wrong with invoking God? When HATE stares you in the face, where do you turn? What do you do? You know, somewhere in the red, white, and blue, is you. IF you are an American. That is by no means apparent, from the reports I've read. I read that at least some of their blades were in their carry-on.

As to pre-smuggled items, that raises the question of allowing non-citizens (especially Arab males) to work on ground crews. I don't think it's a good idea.

In any event, if those choir boys had been searched, along with all their stuff (and maybe alerting somebody to search the plane's seating area, too), there's a good chance some of them may have lost their cool. These guys have a history of being hot-tempered, rude, quarrelsome, etc.

And if they had not been found out before boarding, somebody (with a weapon) should have been keeping a close eye on them during the flight.

As soon as those planes crashed into the WTC, I told my wife exactly what the hijackers would turn out to be, and they ended up fitting the profile perfectly.

Under current circumstances, the presence of any arabic looking person checking into the gate, should mean the plane will be searched prior to boarding, in addition to baggage precautions.

Religious believers (who take faith as a license to do wrong, thinking G-d approves of it) can do evil in the name of G-d. Look at the Nazi death camp guards and staff who went to church on Sunday after slaughtering hundreds of thousands in the course of a week. The fact you're pious means nothing unless its accompanied by RIGHT CONDUCT. While faith is important to being a G-d fearing person it's not enough; one must show G-d one truly fears Him by abstaining from doing evil and by doing good works. Without good works faith is dead and of no account. Where were the good works the 19 terrorists performed in committing their horrific act of mass murder? I do not see G-d rewarding those who profane His Name by doing evil, thinking their shedding the blood of the innocent would gain His favor. The true believers in G-d who truly fear Him are those who know in their hearts the difference between right and wrong and who do not speak lies, commit deceit, walk in His light and hate those who doeth evil. Let us all be aware of the difference between those who fear G-d and those whose pious claim of faith in Him is a trap to lure the innocent to their destruction. Let G-d preserve His righteous ones and punish the wicked upon the face of the earth.

I suspect Deep Throat was no one individual but a compilation of leaked information from various insiders. Because it is a composite, I suspect there is some embellishment of the truth. Even if Woodward reveals who Deep Throat is on his deathbed, I won't believe it until somebody high up in the Nixon White House admits it and it can be proven to be a single person with that much knowledge. Having read "All the President's Men" it reads too much like fiction. Just as the intrepid reporters are at a dead end, Deep Throat comes through with another timely revelation.

The only "brainwashing" of terrorists that interests me is that which takes place on the autopsy table.......

It's an interesting letter though. I think we need to do a couple of things to play on the minds of the next wave of hijackers: 1. Get an imam from the Wahabbi sect of Islam in Mecca to opine that these acts of terrorism are murder of innocent civilians and the people who committed them are not going to Paradise but to eternal damnation. If we can't find an imam who will say that then at least we know what we're up against. 2. Since we now know the identity of the 19 who just died, bad things should happen to their families. Bank accounts frozen, money from them mysteriously disappears, businesses blown up and regretfully lives taken. Let the next wave know that bad things will happen to their relatives as a result of their actions. We need to raise the cost to them of their actions. Since they are willing to die, the cost has to be found elsewhere. We need to plant the seeds of fear and doubt into these guys because we will not get them all without further damage and if we can get one to pull out of a dive or chicken out it will be that many more innocent lives saved.

Since they are willing to die and expect to be wisked into paradaisical glory, we need to change our rules of engagement. Specifically, we should shoot to wound
