WASHINGTON, Oct 3 (Reuters) - More than $100 million worth of assets have been frozen in U.S.
and foreign banks in a crackdown on suspected "terrorist" finances since the Sept. 11 attacks on U.S.
targets, The Washington Post said on Wednesday.

The paper said none of the money came from accounts belonging directly to Saudi-born fugitive Osama
bin Laden or his al-Qaeda network.

Bin Laden is the chief suspect in the hunt for those behind the hijack attacks in New York and
Washington that killed more than 5,700 people.

The assets seizure formed part of the "continuing campaign against the Taliban, bin Laden and his
associates", a senior U.S. Treasury Department official told the paper.

Some of the assets came from 27 individuals and organizations named by U.S. President George W.
Bush on Sept. 24 as having financial connections to al-Qaeda or similar groups.

Gee whiz, Batman, where do you suppose the money trail goes?

None of it bin Laden or al-Qa'idah? Did I read that right?

So were these accounts connected to the motel rooms, the airline tickets, the pilot training, or the rumor mill?

I learned a new word, about what you are doing here. It is "Ittaqu". (see also "Al-Taqiyah") Which means LYING about the peaceful nature, of Islam.

No, it means dissimulating about what one believes when to disclose one's belief would be dangerous. It's a Shi'ah doctrine and practice.

So you need to learn three more new words: "Shi'ah" because "al-Taqiyyah" is uniquely a shi'ah doctrine (e.g. in Persia, now called Iran); "Sunni" because traditional "sunni" muslims are the mainstream of Islam and do not follow shi'ah doctrines or practices like "temporary marriage," or cutting their scalps and whipping themselves until they bleed once a year, or taqiyyah; and "American" because I'm an American.

And perhaps you can find someone else to call a liar, it doesn't reach me at all. You can check out anything I write and you'll find it factual. You may not like to hear it, but it's truthful. Whether you know that or not is of no concern to me.

So none of it belongs to Bin Laden or his organization. Sounds like a very effective campaign. Who does it belong to? Gives you great confidence in the banking system. Similar to not being able to purchase an airline ticket for cash because you are a drug smuggler by insinuation.

This morning's paper said the financial trail led back to the United Arab Emirates, which just happens to be where all visiting students returned to in the first days after the Tuesday attacks. I've been told that the money trail also leads to some other interesting and unexpected places, and that other paper trails lead there, too. I'm still waiting to see what comes out in the media, it takes about a week so far for information to percolate.

Gives you great confidence in the banking system. Similar to not being able to purchase an airline ticket for cash because you are a drug smuggler by insinuation.

I was amazed to find, years ago, that I couldn't rent a motel room -- I was bringing a car back from Chicago -- without a credit card. After I produced a credit card, I was able to pay for the room with cash -- but they wanted a credit card first, something with sixteen digits and an expiration date, my photo ID (driver's license, passport, some other ID) wasn't sufficient.

So how many "You've already been approved" credit card offers do I throw away every week? Go figure.

So do you think, we should start a war against UAE, instead of Afganistan?

Someone's already started a war, against the United States. I think we should finish it. I'm content with the belief that George Bush and the FBI -- and countless others -- are on the track of the architects of the Tuesday Terror, and that we will see something done. I notice that while American forces are being arranged to support an attack on Afghanistan, they're also convenient to a few other places that I, personally, think I would nuke completely off the face of the planet just to clean up some falsification of religion. Maybe they'll read my mind ...
