Surah 3. Al-i 'Imran

In the name of ALLAH, the Benevolent, the Merciful

1. Alif. Lam. Mim.
2. ALLAH! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal.
3. He has sent down to you The Book with truth, confirming that which was before it, even as He sent down the Torah and the Gospel
4. Aforetime, for a Guidance to mankind; and has sent down the Criterion. Lo! those who deny the Revelations of ALLAH, theirs will be a heavy doom. ALLAH is Mighty, Able to Requite.
5. Lo! nothing in the earth or in the heavens is hidden from ALLAH.
6. He it is who fashions you in the wombs as pleases Him. There is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wise.

7. It is He Who has sent down to you The Book. Of it are reinforced passages -- they are the essence of The Book -- and others obscured. Then as for those in whose hearts is a turning away, then they follow what is obscured of it, for the sake of argument and for the purpose of interpretation of it. And none follows its explanation save ALLAH and those at home in the Science. They say, "We keep faith with it. It is all from the viewpoint of our Lord." And none remember except the people of the hearts.

8. Our Lord! Cause not our hearts to stray after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your Presence. Lo! You, only You are the Bestower.
9. Our Lord! it is You Who gather mankind together to a Day of which there is no doubt. Lo! ALLAH fails not to keep the tryst.
