Surah 47. Muhammad
In the name of ALLAH, the Benevolent, the Merciful
1. Those who deny and turn from the way of ALLAH, He renders their actions vain.
2. And those who keep faith and do good works and keep faith with that which is sent down to Muhammad and it is the truth from their Lord. He rids them of their ill deeds and improves their state.
3. That is because those who deny follow falsehood and because those who keep faith follow the truth from their Lord. Thus ALLAH coins their similitudes for mankind.
4. Now when you meet in battle those who deny, then it is smiting of the necks until, when you have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom until the war lay down its burdens. That. And if ALLAH willed He could have punished them but that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of ALLAH, He renders not their actions vain.
5. He will Guide them and improve their state,
6. And bring them in to the Garden which He has made known to them.
7. O you who keep faith! If you help ALLAH, He will help you and will make your foothold firm.
8. And those who deny, perdition is for them, and He will make their actions vain.
9. That is because they are averse to that which ALLAH has sent down, therefor makes He their action fruitless.
10. Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? ALLAH wiped them out. And for the deniers there will be the like thereof.
11. That is because ALLAH is patron of those who keep faith, and because the deniers have no patron.
