Dear LF,
I can no longer in good conscience continue my presence at this site so long as it continues to allow those who choose to violate posters' privacy to remain.

In principle, I tend to support noble gestures, especially the operatically suicidal ones. But this seems excessive, even by my standards.

Indeed. I would have thought that TC could learn from the master. Or at least have the decency to hit the slivo before opus-posting...

If you said: "...contrary to the site policy", I'd say you made a good point. Whereas I'm unclear to what exactly the policy is, I really don't give a shit.
If WRS wants to hassle me, he's in for a real pain in his ass. If Muslim has a problem with something or someone, maybe he should consider solving said problem. I do not see why it is TC's, my, or LF's burden to make forum laws to protect the underpriviledged from the predatory tactics of evil people. Shades of statism.
IMO, liberty means you are free to defend yourself.
TC, principle IS important, but which principle?
I'll sit here and lead by example: I expect everyone to take care of themselves. If you want help, ask away, maybe I'll tell you how to fry a remote motherboard, or maybe I'll ignore you, but I CANNOT keep you from learning how on your own.
Not when the subject is computers on the 'net, at least. If someone asks me to start a PC security thread, and I'll consider it. Or, fer crissakes, go to SANS.org and 2600 and get busy.
Net security has been around about 2hrs less than the net itself. It is not new. Ignorance is no excuse.
That said, I wish you the best, and encourage you to change your mind. IMO, the principle that MUST be maintained is of liberty/personal responsibility, which can only be achieved by refusing administrative solutions to interpersonal problems, at any and all levels.

Principle is important
With all due respect, your own consideration for posters' privacy and regard for principle seems a bit shaky when one considers that you posted ZaphodBeeblebrox's private correspondence to you on the front page of your blog.
