Beloved in Islam,

As-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!  Wa ashhadu al-laa ilaha ill-ALLAHu wahdahu laa sharika lahu; wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhoo wa Rasuluhu sallallahu alaihi wa sallam; then to continue --

We at Muslim America are a small, close-knit community of very ordinary families in the Pacific Northwest, where we have seen, experienced, and are raising children among some very extraordinary events since ALLAH subhanahu wa ta'ala guided us to DEENALLAHI ISLAM.

We recall the arrival of the region's muslim pioneers:  there were no masajid, no musallah in the region until they came.  Those who stayed have built masajid from the ground up:  our children joined the work crews to help build the first with their own hands.  Muslims new to America, their children, and visiting muslims have also established many muslim facilities by acquiring a property and rebuilding it as a masjid or madrasah (including one entire former public school):  communities have appeared like rain.  Thirty years ago we didn't know enough to pray for Islam:  today it is established in the Pacific Northwest and on this continent.

Nothing like this has happened in over a thousand years.  The emergence of Muslim America is the first major territorial spread of Islam since the rise of Muslim Spain.  Over the last thirty years, America has gained hundreds of masajid and schools, a regular periodical press -- Islam, literally hidden and almost unknown here only a few years ago, is now America's second-largest, fastest-growing, and most diverse religious community.  This has happened in a single generation, after Islam grew slowly in America, often invisibly, for a much longer time.

Our part in this has been very small:  our days continue in raising new generations of muslims.  We recall and pass on what we have experienced:  here in the Northwest, in America's urban centers and in our travels; and care for what has been entrusted to us.  ALLAH has been generous and gracious with us:  we have been able to do our work with what He had already provided, and this is sufficient for us.  We need to spend of what we have been given.

We prepare calendars each month, based on local sighting (and on ALLAH's concealment) of the hilal, for whoever asks.  We maintain and distribute a comprehensive listing of Muslim America's masajid, madrasah, organizations and service facilities that has grown steadily over the years.  We publish English-language articles introducing muslims and non-muslims alike to DEENALLAHI ISLAM as set forth in the always-timely, traditionally-transmitted sciences.  And we continue to record and reflect on the extraordinary events by which ALLAH has repeatedly admitted us to what we could not even imagine before.

However we might serve you and the muslims in your area, please call on us and include us in your prayers.

     Was-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi!
